Located conveniently in north central Louisiana,
Natchitoches is within easy reach by automobile via Interstate 49 exit
138, Highway 6.
Interstate 49 connects with 1-20 north in Shreveport
and I-10 to the south in Lafayette.
When traveling from south
Louisiana, consider suing 1-49 exit 119. This will take you on a
scenic drive through plantation country.
The other alternative
is I-49 just south of Natchitoches. I-49 provides direct access to
many major cities in the state, including Alexandria, Monroe, and
Lake Charles. State Highway 84/Highway 6 connects Natchitoches to Natchez,
Mississippi on the east and Lufkin, Texas on the west.

Natchitoches is easy! Natchitoches is within a five hour traveling
time from five major metropolitan areas, which make it a great place to
spend a long weekend. Two nights at one of the many bed and
breakfast or eight motels will give you time to enjoy our cultural flavor.
